Major Increase in Prices of Various Medicines Including Insulin in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Prices of 7 different medicines including insulin have been significantly increased in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

‎The price of insulin used in the treatment of diabetes has more than doubled, and the price of the insulin injection device has increased from 2200 to 4,720.

‎Similarly, the price of a pack of medicine for indigestion and acidity has been increased from 530 to 620 rupees, while the price of a pack of vitamin and dietary supplement tablets has been set from 480 to 510 rupees.

‎It was further reported that the price of medicine used to treat vitamin B deficiency has been increased from 500 to 600 rupees, the price of medicine used in the treatment of thyroid disease has been set from 85 to 290 rupees, and the price of medicine used for the treatment of typhoid has been increased from 805 to 930 rupees.

‎Prices of several other life saving medicines have also increased in the province.
