Laparoscopic surgery services have been formally launched for the first time at Nishtar Hospital Multan, which has been described by the hospital administration as a significant medical advancement.
According to the hospital spokesperson, an inaugural ceremony was held in the emergency department on the launch of laparoscopic surgery, attended by various medical experts and administrative officials.
On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor of Nishtar Hospital said that today is a historic day for the hospital’s surgery department, as modern surgical facilities have now been introduced.
He said that this new facility will greatly benefit patients, especially those from low-income backgrounds, as laparoscopic treatment is less painful and relatively more cost effective.
According to the hospital administration, with the launch of this service, patients from South Punjab will no longer need to travel to major cities for advanced treatment.
