The Interior Ministry has rejected reports about the alleged targeted expulsion of Pakistani nationals from the United Arab Emirates, calling them false and misleading.

In a statement, the ministry said claims circulating on social media and in some reports were part of a malicious propaganda campaign. It clarified that Pakistanis were not being targeted on the basis of nationality, sect or religion.

The ministry said any deportations from the UAE were routine actions taken under the host country’s immigration laws against individuals involved in legal violations. It added that such cases should not be linked to politics or bilateral relations.

The clarification came after reports claimed that Pakistani workers were being expelled from the UAE in large numbers. Authorities urged the public to avoid spreading unverified information.

Pakistan and the UAE maintain close diplomatic and economic ties, while the Gulf country remains one of the key destinations for Pakistani workers.
