At least eight people, including women, were injured after a quadcopter reportedly crashed and exploded near a residential area in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bannu district.
According to police, the drone came from an unknown direction and exploded shortly after falling in the area. The blast caused panic among residents, while the injured were shifted to hospital for medical treatment.
Security agencies launched an investigation after the incident to determine where the quadcopter came from and who was behind the attack.
The incident has raised fresh concerns over the use of small drones in attacks in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where security forces and civilians have faced similar threats in recent months.
