The Punjab Healthcare Commission has further intensified its anti quackery campaign, sealing 589 quackery centers during raids conducted at 2,142 facilities.
According to the commission’s spokesperson, 1,240 suspected treatment centers have been marked for continuous monitoring, while a special operation in South Punjab focused on Taunsa tehsil of Dera Ghazi Khan district.
Similarly, 1,450 raids were conducted in Taunsa and surrounding areas, resulting in the sealing of 238 illegal centers, while 414 locations were marked for monitoring during the operation.
The spokesperson said that during 385 raids in Lahore, 149 illegal centers were sealed, while 47 each were sealed in Sheikhupura and Okara, 27 in Kasur, 25 in Faisalabad, and 24 in Rawalpindi.
The Punjab Healthcare Commission further stated that overall, 70,081 illegal centers have been sealed so far after conducting 249,349 raids.
