More than 13,500 patients were brought to Khyber Teaching Hospital during the three days of Eid-ul-Adha.
According to the hospital administration, 5,300 patients were shifted to the hospital due to stomach disorders, indigestion, abdominal pain, vomiting and diarrhea.
The administration stated that a significant increase in gastrointestinal illnesses was recorded due to the consumption of sacrificial meat and fatty foods.
According to the hospital administration, nearly 900 other patients were also brought to the hospital during Eid, while more than 300 people were admitted after being injured in traffic accidents.
In addition, medical assistance was provided to 250 individuals who were injured due to sacrificial animals or knife-related incidents.
