SAHIWAL:
A woman and her young daughter suffered severe burn injuries in Sahiwal after they were allegedly set on fire by the woman’s husband and brother-in-law during a domestic dispute.

According to initial reports, the incident occurred following an argument within the family. The victims sustained serious burns and were rushed to a nearby hospital, where they received emergency medical treatment. Medical staff described their condition as critical and said they remained under close observation.

Police responded to the incident after receiving information from local residents and family members. A case was registered, and authorities launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. Efforts were also initiated to apprehend those accused of involvement.

The incident has sparked concern among local residents and rights advocates, who have called for a thorough investigation and strict action against those responsible. They emphasized the need for stronger measures to prevent domestic violence and protect vulnerable family members.

Officials stated that evidence is being collected and witness statements are being recorded as part of the inquiry. Further legal proceedings will depend on the findings of the investigation.
