Karachi: Increase in Cough, Cold, Fever and Respiratory Diseases

Respiratory specialist Dr. Javed Khan has said that cases of cough, cold, fever, and respiratory diseases are increasing in Karachi.

‎He said that a large number of patients suffering from lung and respiratory diseases are visiting hospitals, with children and elderly people making up the majority of the patients.

‎The respiratory specialist said that some individuals returning from Hajj and Umrah may bring seasonal viruses with them.

‎He further said that elderly individuals and asthma patients should take special precautions.

‎Dr. Javed Khan also stated that there is a need to increase public awareness to prevent respiratory diseases.
