Respiratory specialist Dr. Javed Khan has said that cases of cough, cold, fever, and respiratory diseases are increasing in Karachi.
He said that a large number of patients suffering from lung and respiratory diseases are visiting hospitals, with children and elderly people making up the majority of the patients.
The respiratory specialist said that some individuals returning from Hajj and Umrah may bring seasonal viruses with them.
He further said that elderly individuals and asthma patients should take special precautions.
Dr. Javed Khan also stated that there is a need to increase public awareness to prevent respiratory diseases.
