Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has highlighted major challenges threatening global peace and stability while addressing the ASEAN Regional Forum.
In his remarks, Dar stressed the importance of collective efforts, dialogue and diplomacy to address growing geopolitical tensions and emerging security challenges. He called for greater international cooperation to promote peace, stability and sustainable development.
The Pakistani foreign minister also emphasised the need to uphold the principles of international law, respect for sovereignty and the peaceful resolution of disputes. He noted that rising conflicts, geopolitical rivalries, terrorism and other emerging threats continue to pose serious challenges to global stability.
Dar’s participation at the forum provided Pakistan with an opportunity to share its perspective on regional and international developments while reaffirming its commitment to multilateral diplomacy and constructive engagement.
The ASEAN Regional Forum brings together countries from across the Asia-Pacific region to discuss political and security issues and promote confidence-building and cooperation.
