ISLAMABAD — Justice Babar Sattar has been served an official notice to vacate his government-allotted residence in Islamabad following his recent judicial transfer to the Peshawar High Court (PHC). According to a notification issued via the Islamabad High Court (IHC) Registrar’s Office, the formal cancellation of the accommodation was enacted by the Estate Office on July 3. The administrative directive leaves the judge with a standard 30-day window to completely move out of the premises.

The IHC Registrar’s Office clarified that following his relocation from the Islamabad High Court to the high court in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Justice Sattar is legally no longer entitled to retain official state housing within the federal capital. The one-month grace period was specifically provided to allow the jurist sufficient time to hand over the property. This administrative action strictly aligns with the established statutory rules and housing regulations governing superior court judges who are transferred to serve outside the jurisdiction of the federal capital’s judiciary.
