MUMBAI: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan recently made a surprise appearance on the Amazon Prime reality show Alliance, offering words of encouragement to his brother, actor Sohail Khan. During his appearance, Salman commended Sohail for graciously taking the full blame for his high-profile split from fashion designer Seema Sajdeh.
Sohail and Seema officially separated in 2022 after spending over two decades together, though they continue to amicably co-parent their sons, Nirvan and Yohan. Dynamics between the former couple drew widespread media attention when Seema joined the show as a wild-card contestant weeks prior, leading to heartfelt, open conversations about their past before her eventual eviction.
Addressing his brother on national television, Salman remarked, “Are you still listening to Seema? My noble brother took all the blame on himself. But I know as a brother how much he’s trying. I know that emotionally, he’s just taking it, taking it in.”
Viewers were previously moved by Sohail’s emotional confession on the program regarding the breakdown of his marriage. Openly acknowledging his shortcomings, Sohail stated on national television, “I have lived with this beautiful lady for 25 years, and let me admit on national television: agar koi bhi galti hui hogi humare beech mein, I take the responsibility (If there were any mistakes between us, I take responsibility for them).” He elaborated that career struggles and a poor frame of mind at the time caused him to lose someone he deeply loved due to his behavior.
Despite the separation, Sohail expressed immense respect for Seema as the mother of his children, noting that the reality series bridged a missing link and allowed them to reconnect and confide in one another. Seema also shared lighthearted details during the show, mentioning that their elder son Nirvan was rooting for Sohail to win the competition, while younger son Yohan was cheering for her.
