The injured woman, identified as Villaverde, had attended the screening with her 11-year-old daughter and a friend. She described the moment the ceiling gave way: “There was a loud noise, but at first we thought it was part of the movie because we were so immersed in it. Then a piece of debris hit me. Luckily, I was leaning forward and avoided a serious head injury, but my shoulders, back, knees, and ankles were hurt.”
