LAHORE, October 23, 2026 — Pakistani social media personality Shahzaib Sialkoti has reportedly been arrested by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) following allegations of online harassment involving a female journalist.
According to media reports, the case was initiated after the journalist filed a complaint alleging that insulting and inappropriate content targeting her had been uploaded on social media. Authorities reportedly recovered two mobile phones during the operation as part of the investigation.
Reports further indicate that investigators are examining digital evidence related to the alleged content and the suspect’s social media accounts. The case is being investigated under Pakistan’s cybercrime laws.
The allegations remain subject to legal proceedings, and the investigation will determine the facts of the case. An arrest does not establish guilt, and the accused is entitled to due process under the law.
The incident has once again drawn attention to online harassment, digital responsibility, and the importance of protecting individuals from abusive content on social media.
