The University of Health Sciences (UHS), Lahore, has opened applications for admission to private medical colleges in Punjab for the 2026–27 academic session. The admission process began on October 23, 2026, giving aspiring medical students an opportunity to apply for MBBS programmes through a centralised online system.
According to the announced schedule, the last date to submit applications for private MBBS admissions is November 6, 2026. The first selection list is scheduled to be published on November 18, allowing candidates to check their admission status based on merit and college preferences.
Punjab has 34 private medical colleges offering approximately 4,500 MBBS seats. Eligible students from all provinces of Pakistan, as well as overseas Pakistanis, can apply, provided they meet the prescribed admission criteria.
Under the admission policy, merit will be calculated using three components: MDCAT results will carry 50 percent weightage, FSc Pre-Medical or an equivalent qualification will account for 40 percent, and matriculation or an equivalent qualification will contribute 10 percent.
Candidates must obtain at least 55 percent marks in MDCAT for MBBS admission and secure a minimum of 60 percent marks in FSc Pre-Medical or an equivalent qualification. Applicants must also meet the university’s other eligibility and documentation requirements.
Admissions will be conducted through a centralised system managed by UHS under the Punjab government’s admission policy. Candidates are advised to review the fee structures, locations and facilities of private medical colleges before selecting their preferences.
Applicants should submit their forms and required documents before the deadline and regularly check the official UHS website for admission instructions and selection lists.
