SEOUL: BLACKPINK member Jisoo is expanding her musical portfolio with an original song titled “Sun Showers”, which she has co-written for the upcoming animated film The Angry Birds Movie 3.
The track will feature in the film as well as its promotional trailer, adding another international soundtrack project to the South Korean singer’s solo career. Speaking about the collaboration, Jisoo said she wanted the song to reflect the movie’s cheerful atmosphere through an upbeat melody that encourages audiences to smile and dance.
The project also includes a personal contribution from the singer. The artwork for “Sun Showers” will feature Shumon, a small dustball character she originally drew during her middle-school years, long before becoming a K-pop star. Jisoo described bringing the childhood creation into the project as a meaningful experience and expressed hope that audiences would enjoy the song when the movie arrives in cinemas.
Directed by John Rice, The Angry Birds Movie 3 follows Red as he faces the challenges of fatherhood while embarking on another mission to save the world. The animated sequel, produced by Paramount Pictures, is scheduled to release in cinemas worldwide on December 23, 2026.
