Punjab Kings (PBKS) pulled off a remarkable victory against Mumbai Indians (MI), winning by 5 wickets in the IPL 2025 Qualifier 2 and storming into the tournament final.
Chasing a tough target of 204 runs, Punjab showed nerves of steel as captain Shreyas Iyer smashed an unbeaten 87 off just 41 balls, guiding his side home in just 19 overs. Nehal Wadhera chipped in with a crucial 48, keeping the momentum alive through the middle overs.
Earlier, Mumbai Indians had set a big total of 203/6, powered by half-centuries from Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma. But their bowlers couldn’t hold back Punjab’s charge in the second innings.
Punjab Kings will now face Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the grand final on June 3, promising a blockbuster showdown.
