Punjab to Resume E-Transfer Process for Teachers Post-Eid

The Punjab School Education Department is set to reopen its e-transfer portal for teachers shortly after the Eid holidays, aiming to facilitate the placement of over 1,200 recently promoted educators awaiting new assignments.

In Lahore alone, more than 50 teaching professionals are pending adjustments, making the provincial capital a focal point in this upcoming transfer cycle.

These realignments will be prioritized in the first phase of the post-Eid schedule through the E-Transfer Portal for Teachers.

Once the adjustment of recently promoted teachers is completed, the department plans to launch an open merit-based transfer cycle in July. This round will invite applications from all eligible educators seeking placement under transparent and merit-driven criteria.

In tandem with these efforts, the provincial Cabinet Committee is preparing to review a broader rationalization framework. This plan aims to ensure balanced staff deployment across public schools, addressing disparities in teacher-to-student ratios throughout the province.

By digitizing the transfer process through the E-Transfer Portal for Teachers, Punjab’s education authorities hope to increase efficiency, reduce bureaucratic delays, and improve transparency in teacher placements.

The initiative is part of a wider reform agenda aimed at strengthening the quality of education by placing the right talent in the right classrooms.

As anticipation builds among educators, stakeholders await official confirmation and detailed guidelines that will outline the timelines and eligibility requirements for the upcoming transfer rounds.
