‎According to a spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, more than 45 million children across the country have been administered polio drops during the recent nationwide polio eradication campaign.

‎‎Minister of State for Health, Dr. Mukhtar Bharath, visited the National Emergency Operations Center for Polio, where he reviewed the measures taken during the campaign. During a briefing, the minister emphasized that “protecting children from polio is the government’s top priority.”

‎He stated that repeated vaccination is essential for the complete eradication of polio and that routine immunization is a fundamental right of every child.

‎Dr. Mukhtar Bharath also highlighted the government’s commitment to improving immunization coverage and directed that special attention be given to increasing vaccination in high-risk areas.

‎‎The health minister further stressed the importance of ensuring that no child is left unvaccinated. “We are determined to make the country completely polio-free,” he declared.

‎‎According to government-released statistics, the recent campaign was conducted with a focused and effective approach across the country. The Ministry of Health stated that all relevant institutions are working together in the fight against polio and that further measures are being taken.

‎Health experts believe that public awareness and full cooperation from parents are vital for the complete eradication of polio. The Ministry of Health has urged the public to ensure their children receive polio drops so that the country can be declared polio-free as soon as possible.
