Adnan Siddiqui, the host of the popular Pakistani reality show Tamasha, recently opened up about his role and the comparisons between his show and the Indian reality show Bigg Boss. Appearing on Good Morning Pakistan with Nida Yasir, Siddiqui revealed how he landed the hosting gig for the ARY Digital show, which has become one of Pakistan’s biggest reality TV hits since its launch in 2022.
Siddiqui shared that when the opportunity to host Tamasha came to him while he was in London for a fundraiser, he hesitated initially due to the inevitable comparison to Bigg Boss. He recalled saying to the producers, “I told them that people would compare it with ‘Bigg Boss.’ They said the comparison might be drawn, but we would do it in our own way.”
Addressing the ongoing comparison, Siddiqui emphasized that while the formats of Tamasha and Bigg Boss are similar, the two shows are distinct. “There is no real comparison theirs is a big, mega show with its own identity. They’ve been running it successfully for 19 years, while we are now on our fourth season,” he stated, adding that Tamasha has its unique charm despite sharing a similar franchise.
