Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan and Qatar Charity have made an agreement to improve healthcare in far-off and poor areas of Pakistan. Under this deal, Qatar Charity will give money and expert help to support 13 mobile health units that Alkhidmat Foundation already runs.

These mobile health units are like small traveling clinics. They go to places where there are no hospitals and help people who need medical care.

The agreement was signed when a team from Qatar Charity, led by their Country Director Amin Abdul Rahman, visited Alkhidmat’s head office in Lahore. He and Alkhidmat’s Secretary General Syed Waqas Jafri signed the deal.

Other people who were there included health experts and directors from both Alkhidmat and Qatar Charity.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Jafri stated, “Alkhidmat Foundation has remained committed to providing vital services including health, education, and emergency relief to marginalized communities. This partnership will further boost our healthcare initiatives and extend our outreach to thousands in need,” according to DailyTimes.

Prof. Dr. Latif explained that Alkhidmat’s mobile health units have been helping people in areas affected by floods and in faraway regions since 2022. These mobile clinics give free checkups, medicines, lab tests, and basic healthcare to hundreds of people every day.

Qatar Charity’s Country Director, Mr. Amin Abdul Rahman, praised the great work Alkhidmat is doing all over Pakistan. He said that Qatar Charity will continue to work with Alkhidmat and support them. He also said that the agreement (MoU) shows that both organizations believe everyone should have the right to basic healthcare, no matter where they live.
