All hospitals in the province will function as usual on February 6 and 7, the Punjab Health Department has issued a notification.
According to the notification, emergency services and OPDs will operate normally and no leave will be granted in hospitals. It is worth noting that a day earlier, 13 government hospitals were placed on high alert from February 6 to 8, with directions to ensure the availability of medical, nursing and paramedical staff, medicines, drips, vaccines and surgical supplies.
In addition, orders were issued to prepare lists of blood bags and blood donors, reserve beds in hospitals for Basant, and keep X-ray, ultrasound, CT scan and MRI machines fully functional.
