The Central Development Working Party (CDWP) has approved the AIDS, TB, and Malaria control project.

‎A meeting of the CDWP was held under the chairmanship of Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal, where projects related to health and the water sector were reviewed.

‎According to the statement, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Human Capital Investment Project has been sent to ECNEC. The project, costing Rs. 18.13 billion, will provide healthcare facilities in 13 districts and will be completed with foreign assistance under World Bank guidelines.

‎The CDWP statement further mentioned that the forum has approved the AIDS, TB, and Malaria Control Project, which is a Rs. 2 billion project aimed at eliminating these diseases nationwide.

‎Meanwhile, Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal said that primary education must be given central importance in the education policy. Every child must have access to science and computer labs as a basic right. The flood disaster master plan and storm water storage project in Multan were also reviewed.

‎He added that river and underground water pollution has increased to dangerous levels, and provincial governments must prioritize the management of waste and sewage water. It is mandatory to include clear outcomes and impacts in every PC-1.
