KARACHI: An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of the Anti-Encroachment Force was injured after robbers opened fire near Aziz Bhatti Park on University Road late Sunday night.
According to Chhipa Rescue officials, the injured officer was identified as ASI Nabeel Chandar, who sustained bullet wounds during the incident.
He was immediately shifted to a private hospital for medical treatment.
Police said the assailants managed to flee the scene after the shooting, while an investigation into the incident has been launched.
