The Babusar–Naran Highway has been closed for all kinds of traffic due to unsafe road conditions, officials confirmed on Monday. The decision was taken after sudden weather changes created risks of landslides and reduced visibility in the high-altitude region.
According to local authorities, rescue teams and district administration have been placed on alert as the route remains dangerous for travelers. Motorists have been advised to use alternative routes until the road is cleared and declared safe.
Travelers who were planning to cross Babusar Top expressed frustration but acknowledged that safety must come first. Authorities say maintenance crews are working to restore access, but reopening will depend entirely on weather improvements.
