Sky-watchers around the world are in for a treat early November. The full moon on Nov. 5, 2025, known as the Beaver Supermoon, is expected to be the largest and brightest full moon of the year.
At roughly 356,980 km (221,818 miles) away from Earth, it will mark the closest full moon of 2025 making it appear up to 14% larger and 30% brighter than a typical full moon.
The best time to view it will be on the evening of Nov. 5 (and into Nov. 6) as it rises in the east just after sunset. No special equipment is needed just clear skies and a good horizon view.
