Bilawal Bhutto: “If ISI and RAW Work Together, Terrorism Can Be Significantly Reduced”

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman and former Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that cooperation between Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI and India’s RAW could lead to a major decrease in terrorism in both countries. He was addressing a press conference at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

Bilawal highlighted that Pakistan suffers more terrorist attacks than India and emphasized that instead of blame games, both nations need to work together to tackle the shared threat of terrorism. He stated that Pakistan has paid a heavy price in the fight against terrorism, with thousands of civilian and military casualties, and urged the world to recognize Pakistan’s sacrifices.

He condemned India’s strikes on May 7 as a violation of international law and the UN Charter. According to Bilawal, these attacks targeted civilian areas, worship places, water and energy infrastructure, and caused the deaths of innocent civilians, including women and children.

In response, Pakistan shot down six Indian fighter jets and maintained its right to defend its sovereignty, Bilawal said. Despite these provocations, he asserted that Pakistan is still open to dialogue and cooperation with India to eliminate terrorism.

“We are ready to talk about everything — terrorism, Kashmir, water — and we are not afraid of any investigation,” Bilawal stated. “But there is only one party refusing dialogue and accountability, and that is India.”

He also claimed that India used Israeli drones in its recent attacks and drew parallels between India’s actions in Kashmir and Israeli policies in Palestine. He warned that labeling all Muslims or Kashmiris as terrorists is dangerous and counterproductive.

Bilawal concluded by saying, “We cannot allow non-state actors or political rhetoric to push two nuclear-armed countries towards war. The future of 1.7 billion people depends on peace, not provocation.”
