The Sindh government, under the leadership of Karachi’s Commissioner, has finalized comprehensive arrangements for the 1295th annual URS of revered Sufi saint Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi. The three‑day commemorative event is scheduled to run from June 17 to June 19.
In a high-level meeting chaired by the Commissioner, officials were instructed to ensure impeccable facilities for the thousands of pilgrims expected to attend. “We must deliver exemplary arrangements and provide every possible convenience to visitors,” the Commissioner emphasized .
The directives include fully equipped water stations, hygienic washrooms, continuous “langar” (community meals), and round‑the‑clock security. Importantly, authorities confirmed that parking during the URS will be free of charge, a gesture to ease the experience for attendees . Both police and additional security personnel will maintain a strong presence throughout the event, day and night .
Devotees can also expect continuous spiritual activities at the shrine, including recitations of Sana, Fateha, and Qasidah, as part of the URS ceremony .
