RAWALPINDI – The District and Sessions Court has directed law enforcement authorities to arrest and produce the absconding accused in the honour killing case of 17-year-old Sidra Bibi.
Presiding over the hearing, District and Sessions Judge Abid Rizwan Abid approved the challan for trial proceedings and issued summons for nine suspects currently incarcerated at Adiala Jail. The jail superintendent has been instructed to ensure their appearance before the court on September 15.
Among the absconding individuals are the victim’s mother, sisters, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and uncle. The court has ordered their immediate arrest and presentation before the bench.
Additionally, a list of official witnesses has been submitted, and the court has indicated that the trial will be conducted expeditiously.
