Criminals use fake student accounts to scam financial aid from colleges

It has been revealed that scammers now use artificial intelligence to set up fake student identities, enroll them in college courses, and obtain the financial aid they are not entitled to.

Today’s reports state that AI-assisted photos, documents, and essay-writing bots are helping cybercriminals get student aid from colleges and universities.

Many educational institutions are losing money to fraud, which also burdens the financial aid system, since almost half of them struggle to spot the forged documents.

Even though some colleges have launched tougher anti-cheating methods, specialists insist further improvement is required.

Officials are currently looking into a number of organized fraud groups and telling financial institutions to make their digital security better right away.
