Rawalpindi — The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency has arrested two suspects allegedly involved in a financial fraud scheme targeting Senator Falak Naz.
According to officials, the accused impersonated the CEO of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and deceived the senator through WhatsApp communication. The suspects reportedly extracted Rs 485,500 from the senator using the fake identity.
Following digital tracking, a raid was conducted in Bahawalnagar district where the suspects — Muhammad Nadeem and Asad Falaq, residents of Basti Gamey Wala — were taken into custody.
A case has been registered under FIR No. 308/2025, invoking PPC sections 14, 34, 109, 419 and 420. Officials said further investigation is underway to identify additional facilitators involved in the scam.
