In India, doctors saved the life of a one and a half year old child by removing a “plastic Hulk” from his stomach.

‎According to Indian media reports, expert surgeons at a hospital in Ahmedabad removed a plastic Hulk toy from the child’s stomach through a very complex medical procedure after the child had swallowed it.

‎The incident occurred on 18 January 2026, when one and a half year old child Vansh suddenly became restless and started vomiting.

‎During this time, the child’s mother noticed that a toy was missing. When she asked him, the child indicated through gestures that he had swallowed the toy. The family immediately took him to Ahmedabad Civil Hospital.

‎At the hospital, an X-ray confirmed that the plastic Hulk was stuck in the child’s stomach.

‎Head of the Pediatric Surgery Department, Dr. Rakesh Joshi, said that it was not a small piece but a complete toy with arms, legs, and head.

‎He explained that the biggest challenge was to remove such a large toy from the natural valve between the food pipe and the stomach without causing damage. If the toy had moved into the intestines, there was a risk of blockage or even intestinal rupture.

‎According to the doctor, due to the air present in the stomach, the toy kept slipping repeatedly, and if it had been pulled by the arm or leg, it could have got stuck in the valve and caused permanent damage. With extreme caution and skill, the surgeons firmly held the toy by the head and successfully removed it.

‎Fortunately, the child has now fully recovered and his condition is satisfactory.
