Eidul Adha is being observed today with deep religious devotion in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and several other Gulf nations.

Massive congregational prayers were held at the two holy mosques. Masjid al-Haram in Makkah and Masjid an-Nabawi in Madinah where thousands of worshippers gathered in unity. Sheikh Maher Al-Muaiqly led the Eid sermon and prayer at Masjid al-Haram.

Similar Eid celebrations took place at Al-Aqsa Mosque, as well as in Lebanon and Egypt, where worshippers offered Eid prayers followed by the ritual of animal sacrifice, a core practice of Eidul Adha.

In Syria, a large prayer gathering was held at the Grand Mosque in Damascus, attended by interim President Ahmad al-Sharaa.

Meanwhile, Hajj pilgrims have reached Mina from Muzdalifah to perform the symbolic stoning of the devil (Rami), followed by Qurbani (sacrifice), shaving of heads, and changing out of the Ihram garments. They will then proceed to perform Tawaf al-Ziyarah and Sa’i in Makkah.

Beyond the Middle East, Eidul Adha is also being celebrated in parts of Europe and North America. However, due to differences in moon sighting, many Muslim communities in countries like the US, UK, Canada, and across Europe will observe the festival tomorrow, leading to two separate days of celebration.

In the UAE, major cities such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah witnessed large Eid congregations in mosques and open prayer grounds.

In Pakistan, the Bohra community is also marking Eidul Adha today, with Eid prayers held at various locations in Karachi including Saddar, Pakistan Chowk, Hyderi, and Baloch Colony.
