First Monkeypox Case of the Year Reported in Karachi

The first case of monkeypox has been reported in Karachi this year.

‎According to hospital sources, the patient had been shifted to Sindh Infectious Diseases Hospital, where the infection was confirmed after the test result came back positive.

‎The affected individual has been discharged from the hospital and shifted to another facility. Hospital sources stated that the person infected with mpox had recently traveled from abroad.

‎According to sources from the Health Department, several suspected cases of mpox have been reported in different hospitals during the current year.
