Karachi: Aligarh Institute of Technology (AIT) Karachi successfully organized a two-day technical event, Electromania 2026, highlighting students’ innovation, creativity, and practical skills in electronics. The event was held under the supervision of Head of the Electronics Department, Saqib Noor, and attracted enthusiastic participation from students.
The event aimed to strengthen students’ practical understanding of electronics, promote creative thinking, and enhance professional and technical skills. It was coordinated by Engineer Sidra Aziz and Engineer Hafsa Israr, with the support of the Electronics Department’s students and faculty.
On the first day, a seminar titled “Speak to Impact” was conducted to improve students’ communication and presentation skills, especially for technical topics. This was followed by hands-on activities such as “Sort-O-Tronics”, where students identified and classified electronic components, and “Electro Dart”, which explained basic electronics concepts through interactive learning methods.
The second day featured “Quiztronic”, a technical quiz competition designed to improve students’ analytical thinking and conceptual clarity. Another key activity, “Brain to Board”, focused on circuit designing, allowing students to transform theoretical knowledge into practical applications through innovative ideas.
Addressing the event, Principal AIT Shahid Jamil said that such technical activities prepare students for real-world challenges beyond classroom learning. Convener Aligarh Institute Syed Muhammad Mohsin Kazim stated that Electromania served as a strong platform for teamwork, confidence building, and problem-solving skills.
Head of the Electronics Department Saqib Noor emphasized that the event was organized to help students understand the importance and real-life applications of electronics in a simple and effective way.
Electromania 2026 proved to be a meaningful addition to AIT’s academic calendar, reinforcing practical learning and technical excellence among students.
