English wicketkeeper-batter Sam Billings stirred controversy on social media after posting a sarcastic remark targeting Pakistan captain Babar Azam’s recent slow half-century in the Pakistan Super League.

Billings tweeted a screenshot comparing his own 19-ball fifty to Babar’s 50 off 47 balls, hinting at the lack of intent or modern strike rate by some players. His post captioned “Different games, I guess” quickly went viral among fans and critics alike.

Supporters of Babar defended him, citing match context and pitch conditions, while others criticized the slow pace, especially in a T20 format where aggression is key.

This isn’t the first time Babar has faced questions regarding his strike rate, and analysts believe such criticism could influence selection policies for Pakistan’s white-ball future.
