Epidemic Diseases Spread Rapidly in Flood Hit Areas, 33,000 Patients Reported in a Single Day

Epidemic diseases are spreading rapidly among flood affected people in Punjab.

‎In the last 24 hours, more than 33,000 patients suffering from fever, skin diseases, conjunctivitis, diarrhea, and snake and dog bites have been reported. The total number of patients affected by various diseases in the flood hit areas has now reached 755,000.

‎According to the report, in the past 24 hours, 5,000 patients with respiratory problems, 4,300 with fever, 4,000 with skin allergies, and 700 with conjunctivitis have been reported.

‎There were also 5 cases of snake bites, 20 cases of dog bites, and more than 1,900 cases of diarrhea.

‎According to the Punjab Health Department, 405 fixed camps in flood hit areas examined a total of 279,000 patients.
