LAHORE – The Pakistan Railways Police have arrested a man posing as a Brigadier of the Pakistan Army in a major operation in Lahore. According to a Railways Police spokesperson, the suspect, identified as Bahadur Ali, had been impersonating a serving Army officer to commit fraud and extortion.
In February, the accused reportedly called the SP Workshops office, introducing himself as a serving Brigadier, and requested contact with Sufi Shaukat Qadri of Mughalpura. After establishing contact, he falsely accused Qadri of terrorism and demanded a bribe of Rs100,000 to clear his name.
