Pakistan’s Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb met with senior International Monetary Fund (IMF) officials in Washington to review the country’s macroeconomic performance and discuss progress under the IMF-supported reform programme.
The meeting focused on Pakistan’s economic stability, fiscal reforms, the Extended Fund Facility (EFF), and the Resilience and Sustainability Facility (RSF). Both sides reviewed the implementation of key structural reforms aimed at strengthening the economy and ensuring sustainable growth.
The discussions come as Pakistan continues to show improvements in economic indicators, including stronger fiscal performance, rising foreign exchange reserves, and ongoing reform efforts under the IMF programme.
