Karachi: A suspected robber was killed during an attempted robbery on Dalmia Drug Road, Karachi, on Thursday.
According to police, two armed men allegedly snatched a mobile phone from a citizen and tried to flee. The victim resisted and managed to overpower one of the suspects. During the scuffle, gunfire was exchanged, resulting in the suspect’s death on the spot.
Law enforcement officials recovered five mobile phones, a pistol with a magazine and rounds, and other stolen items from the deceased suspect’s possession. His accomplice managed to escape.
The body has been shifted to a hospital for legal formalities, while police have launched a search operation to arrest the absconding suspect.
