FUUAST Holds Successful Islamic Banking Awareness Seminar

The Department of Business Administration at FUUAST Abdul Haq Campus successfully organized an Islamic Banking Awareness Seminar attended by faculty, banking professionals, and a large number of students. The event was anchored by Sir Ahmed Khan, while Sir Muzammil made a special appearance to encourage participants.

 

The seminar opened with a welcome address by Department In-charge Sir Khurram Shah Nawaz, who highlighted the objectives of the program and explained why such sessions are essential for students. He also outlined the key differences between conventional and Islamic banking systems.

 

Faiz Ahmed, Regional Shariah Coordinator, delivered a detailed session on Shariah compliance and the principles of Islamic banking, focusing on practical implementation within the industry. Farhan Rehmani from Meezan Bank provided career guidance, discussing growth opportunities and conducting on-campus interviews for students.

 

Branch Manager Laraib Ahmed Khan urged students to prioritize education and professional development, while Ahmed Farhan briefed attendees on Meezan Bank’s recruitment policies. Sir Roshan, Assistant Professor at FUUAST, also emphasized the importance of Islamic banking in his informative address.

 

The seminar concluded with interviews conducted by Meezan Bank’s HR team for final-year students, assessing candidates for internships. The event saw active participation and concluded successfully.
