Islamabad: Federal Health Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal has pledged to introduce urgent and wide-ranging reforms in the health sector.

He made these remarks while chairing a high-level meeting of the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) in Islamabad.

The Minister said that Pakistan’s pharmaceutical and medical devices industry has great economic potential.

He also announced the launch of an online system for the registration and licensing of medical devices, saying it will help modernize the country’s regulatory process.

Mustafa Kamal added that efforts are being made to turn DRAP into a modern, efficient, transparent, and people-friendly institution.
