Hyderabad: Doctors Refuse to Treat Patient, Citing ‘Strong Odor’

HYDERABAD – A troubling incident has emerged from a local hospital in Hyderabad, where doctors reportedly refused to treat a patient, claiming a strong odor was coming from him.

According to witnesses, the patient had arrived in critical condition and was seeking urgent medical care. However, hospital staff hesitated to provide treatment, leading to distress among the patient’s family and sparking outrage in the community.

Health rights activists say the incident highlights serious concerns about medical ethics and the duty of care owed to all patients, regardless of their condition. An internal inquiry is now being demanded to determine responsibility and ensure such negligence does not occur again.
