Karachi: The Sindh Rain and Flood Emergency Monitoring Cell has released the latest statistics on water inflow and outflow at major barrages along the Indus River, indicating a moderate flood situation with signs of gradual decline.
According to the report, Guddu Barrage continues to show a downward trend in water levels, recording an inflow of 385,055 cusecs and an outflow of 356,834 cusecs. At Sukkur Barrage, inflow has been registered at 499,850 cusecs, while the outflow is 446,470 cusecs. Meanwhile, Kotri Barrage reported an inflow of 326,942 cusecs against an outflow of 306,887 cusecs.
Officials said the provincial government is maintaining strict vigilance over the water situation at all barrages. Disaster management teams remain on alert, particularly in low-lying areas downstream, to address any potential emergency.
