Inquiry Report Issued on Death of Mother and Child at Mithi Civil Hospital

The inquiry report regarding the death of a mother and child at Mithi Civil Hospital has been released.

‎According to the inquiry report issued from Tharparkar, the on call doctor did not arrive despite the patient’s deteriorating condition.

‎The report states that treatment was delayed despite the presence of infection. The patient was kept in the labor room instead of the operation theater.

‎According to the District Health Officer, shortcomings were identified during treatment. The report has been sent to the Director General Health for legal action.
