KARACHI – The Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC) police successfully recovered a vehicle that had been snatched at gunpoint from the Media Advisor to the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to AVLC officials, the recovery was made through professional expertise, modern technology, and the use of confidential intelligence sources. The recovered vehicle was found bearing a fake registration plate (BRA-996), while its original registration number was identified as BKP-342.
SSP Amjad Shaikh stated that CCTV footage helped police identify the suspects involved in the carjacking incident as Sajjad Lashari, Imran Saraiki, Ubaid Punjabi, and Shahzad Lashari. He added that raids are underway for their arrest and that the suspects are expected to be apprehended soon.
Following the completion of legal formalities, the recovered vehicle was handed over to Ali Ayub, Media Advisor to the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
It is pertinent to mention that on October 22, unidentified armed men had snatched the vehicle at gunpoint near Tahirullah Chowrangi in the FB Industrial Area of Karachi and fled the scene.
