Karachi — A tragic road accident in Karachi claimed the life of an online food delivery rider when, after being knocked down by a speeding car, he was run over by a truck coming from behind.
According to police, the incident occurred near Shahrah-e-Faisal when the rider was on his way to deliver an order. Eyewitnesses said the car hit the motorcycle, throwing the rider onto the road, where a fast-moving truck could not stop in time and crushed him.
Rescue officials rushed to the scene and shifted the body to a nearby hospital. Police have impounded both vehicles involved in the incident, and an investigation is underway to determine responsibility.
Locals expressed sorrow over the rising number of road accidents in Karachi and urged authorities to take stricter action against reckless driving.
