In a remarkable medical case, a team of expert doctors at Lyari General Hospital in Karachi successfully removed a padlock from a woman’s stomach without performing traditional surgery.

‎The 23 year old woman from Malir Khokhrapar was brought to the hospital in critical condition early in the morning. Doctors later confirmed that she had swallowed a metal padlock.

‎Dr. Anjum Rehman stated that the woman, who is mentally challenged, had ingested the padlock. Initial medical tests clearly showed the presence of the object in her stomach.

‎Although the case was complex, the medical team managed to extract the padlock using laparoscopy a minimally invasive procedure avoiding the need for open surgery. The patient’s condition is now reported to be stable and improving.
