Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has hinted at the possible inclusion of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in the federal and Punjab governments.
In an interview with a private TV channel, Asif stated that although details cannot be openly shared at this stage, there is a possibility of PPP joining the ruling coalition.
“PPP’s inclusion in the government would be a positive step,” he said, adding that he was not personally aware of the details of ongoing contacts between the two parties.
Khawaja Asif further noted that the PML-N and PPP could work together on a national agenda to ensure political stability and address key national issues.
It’s worth noting that PPP leader and Sindh’s senior minister Sharjeel Memon had earlier dismissed reports of any formal offer from the federal government, saying no proposal had yet been received.
