Islamabad: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister has said that he asked former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to allow him to meet “the founder,” but his request was not immediately approved. Speaking to reporters, the Chief Minister said, “I told Shehbaz Sharif to let me meet the founder,” adding that the response he received was, “The Prime Minister said he’ll ask and then let me know.”
The brief exchange, aired by Samaa TV, quickly drew public attention and stirred political discussion. Although the Chief Minister did not specify who he meant by “the founder,” observers believe it was a reference to a key political figure within the party’s top leadership.
Neither Shehbaz Sharif nor federal government representatives have issued an official statement on the matter. However, analysts say the remarks reflect growing tension and mistrust between the federal and provincial governments, particularly over political control and party coordination.
The statement has added a new layer to the ongoing political friction between Islamabad and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as both sides continue to make indirect remarks in media interactions and public gatherings.
