Kuwait has extended the deadline for residents and businesses to surrender unlicensed wireless communication devices as part of efforts to strengthen telecommunications regulations and national security measures.
According to officials, authorities have urged individuals and companies possessing unauthorized wireless equipment to either hand over the devices or complete the necessary licensing procedures before the new deadline expires.
The government said the initiative is aimed at preventing interference with official communication networks and ensuring that all wireless devices operate within the country’s legal framework. Officials warned that failure to comply could result in legal action, fines, or confiscation of the equipment.
Authorities also announced that inspection and monitoring operations will continue across the country to ensure strict implementation of telecommunications laws and regulations.
